Personal Experience
Ralph G. Torres has been a sole practitioner since 1986 with experience in employment and labor discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, FLSA, OSHA compliance, and administrative law. Mr. Torres presently represents both claimants and management in actions filed in state and federal courts in Colorado and other states and before state and federal regulatory agencies.
Mr. Torres lectures extensively in the areas of EEO and employment discrimination for the Hispanic National Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, at various local universities and colleges and before various community groups, including state and federal agencies. He presents seminars for clients and managers on a whole range of labor, EEO and employment discrimination topics.
Ralph G. Torres’ current law practice focuses on various areas of employment as well as defending licensed professionals under the various regulatory boards at DORA. He was one of the first Hispanic students to graduate from the University of Denver Law School under then Dean Yegge’s Hispanic Scholarship program, being the roommate of Ret. New Mexico Supreme Court Justice Patricio Serna. His legal career began with the Adams County Legal Aid Society to the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Educational Fund to being the Acting Regional Attorney at the EEOC to starting his private practice in 1986. He was one of the founding members of the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association and the Alfred A. Arraj American Inn of Court. He has been on numerous Boards including the Foundation for the Denver Performing Arts Complex; State Board of Community Colleges and Occupational Education; Colorado Judicial Institute as well as many within the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations. He was inducted into the NMSU College of Business Administration and Economics Hall of Fame; awarded the Outstanding Alumni “Law Star” from D.U. and the “Outstanding Lawyer” from the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association. Mr. Torres is fluent in Spanish and English.
